Two of the greatest hip hop artists in Aotearoa’s history are teaming up with an award winning pioneer of Kiwi electronic music to deliver Hokitika a night they’ll never see again.
Che-Fu and King Kapisi are performing as Hedlok, a party fused clash of their legendary vocal talents with turntablist wizardry and original production. They’ll be supported by The Nomad for a special first ever performance
King Kapisi is a Kiwi hip-hop mainstay and
the first hip hop artist in New Zealand to receive the prestigious Silver Scroll Award at the APRA Awards for Songwriter of the Year
in 1999 for Reverse Resistance.
Che Fu is a household name in New Zealand, on the strength of anthemic songs Chains, Fade
Away and Misty Frequencies.
As a founding member of Supergroove, and with
a slew of awards for his three solo albums,
he is a true pioneer of the Urban Pasifika Hip-Hop sound.
Kiwi electronic music pioneer The Nomad celebrates 25 years compiling an impressive body of work, featuring collaborations with many different artists and musicians from New
Zealand, Australia, UK and Jamaica.
Since his first album release ‘Movement’ in 1998, he has gone on to release nine full length albums, remix albums and various singles.
Together, Hedlok and The Nomad promise a night of monumental proportions. Tickets are
